OFFICIAL INFRASTRUCTURE SURVEY OF TRAIL AREA

Dr. Krishan Kumar, Vice Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), along with senior officers from Bhubaneswar Municipality Corporation (BMC), Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) , temple trustees and Utsha team walked the trail, to check preparations for BAT-2018 roll out.

 

 

 

The official announcement of Bhubaneswar Art Trail (BAT-2018) took place at Hotel Swosti Grand, Bhubaneswar on Aug 26, 2018. The first edition of BAT is conceptualized and organised by Utsha along with Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and Odisha Tourism. The public art exhibition 'NAVIGATION IS OFFLINE' is conceptualized and curated by Jagannath Panda and Premjish Achari.

Eminent artist Jagannath Panda, Premjish Achari, Sayantan Maitra Boka and Ramakanta Samantaray along with Utsha Foundation team walked the trail for the preparation of Bhubaneswar Art Trail - 2018.

 

Guajhara is located at the beginning of the art trail. An absolute scenic place in the Old Town of Bhubaneswar. It is an important location where many art events of BAT is going to take place.

A meeting took place at Kedar Gouri Club with the people of Old Town, Temple Trustees, Club members and local young volunteers along with officials of Bhubaneswar Development Authority - BDA and Utsha Foundation team.

 

Many things had been discussed during the meeting regarding the infrastructure, requisites etc to prepare the trail.

BAT team goes to Sri Sri University, Cuttack. Had an healthy interaction with students and faculty regarding the BAT.

A walk through the trail with one of our curators Premjish Achari, BAT 2018 artists and the volunteers , exploring and experiencing the characters of the old town. As the afternoon went by, we saw the walk turning into a platform that witnessed a wonderful exchange of ideas, sharing of experiences, collaborations with the local community, all connecting the old town to new art.
