V. SUNIL
V. Sunil has held key positions in India’s foremost advertising agencies, including Contract and McCann Erickson. In 2004, Sunil founded ‘A', which went on to become India’s most successful independent agency before merging operations with Wieden+ Kennedy in 2007. During his tenure at O&M, Sunil created and launched major marketing initiatives, including 'Incredible !ndia', 'Make in India', 'Indigo Airlines', 'Motorola' and the 'Hutch' campaign. Sunil has won over 25 international awards at Cannes, One Show, Communication Arts, the New York and London festivals, Campaign Brief and Asia Ad fest. V. Sunil is currently a trustee of the Kochi Biennale Foundation and has played a major role in it's continuing success.
JAGANNATH PANDA
Jagannath Panda is a renowned Odia artist of international repute and is the main inspiration behind Utsha Foundation. Born in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Jagannath Panda completed his Bachelor’s degree in sculpture at the B. K. College of Arts and Crafts there in 1991,and his Master’s degree in the same at the Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University, Baroda in 1994 His solo shows include ‘Nothing is Solid’ at Chemould Prescott Road, Mumbai, in 2007; Berkeley Square Gallery and Saffronart Online, London, in 2006; Nature Morte, New Delhi, in 2005; and Zamoca Foundation Gallery, Tokyo, 1998.
ARUNA MOHANTY
Padmashri Guru Aruna Mohanty is one of the finest Odissi Dancers. She was trained and nurtured under the able guidance of Padmashree Guru Gangadhar Pradhan. She has received many awards and accolades for her contribution to the arts, including the Mahari Award (1997), Sanjukta Panigrahi Memorial National Award (2001), Fellowship by Ministry of HRD, Government of India, and the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Puraskar Award in 2010. She was a member of Central Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi and currently serves as the vice president of the Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi.
CHARUDUTTA PANIGRAHI
Charudutta Panigrahi is the Founder-Mentor of FIDR, a non-profit think tank working across India. A public intellectual, Charudutta has been involved with the Bhubaneswar Smart City and Art in the Smart City drive since it’s beginning and is closely associated with other key public policy developments in Odisha and other states. A prolific writer, he has authored over five books on diverse themes – theatre movement, history of Odisha, economics and is revered as an influential thinker from Odisha in present times. A known aesthete, many consider him a ‘culture ambassador’ of Odisha. A business school alumnus, he has been responsible for pioneering technology, data analytics and entrepreneurship in social work in Odisha and other geographies.
NILA MADHAB PANDA
Dr. Nila Madhab Panda is a film maker who has received one of the highest civilian honor of India “Padmashree”, by the president of India. He was conferred with D.litt. Honoris Causa by Utkal Culture University, Odisha 2018. His first feature film “I am Kalam” has become an iconic film winning 34 international awards and a national award. His second feature film 'Jalpari'(Desert Mermaid), received the MIP Junior award at Cannes. He made mixed genre of films like “Babloo Happy Hai, 'Kaun Kitney Paani Mein', and his national award winning film 'Kadvi Hawa' (Dark wind). He founded the 'International Screenwriters Lab' in India and also served as the Indian Creative Associate for the UK Arts Council-funded 60x60 programme, which commissioned 60 short films in home and beyond India, UK and Pakistan.
SIDDHARTHA MOHANTY
Siddhartha Mohanty, a computer engineer is professionally involved in managing his diversified family businesses in the state of Odisha. Siddhartha also has been directly or tangibly associated in presenting Odisha’s natural beauty, architectural heritage, art forms etc through his company’s foundation arm and also his own nature conservation NGO. He passionately believes in originality and bringing in creativity into different representations of the beauty of Odisha. For more than 10 years he has been conceptualising and designing the MGM Calendar, an annual showcase of Odisha’s beauty. He trusts that it is indeed a piece of Odisha that reaches the desks of friends, associates and Odisha-philes all
over the globe.
